01

The sauce

What’s in the jar? Are there any allergens?

Our sauces are built on simple, real ingredients: fresh habanero or scotch bonnet peppers, garlic, vinegar, salt, and a few aromatics. No artificial flavours, no MSG, no high-fructose corn syrup.

The full ingredient and nutritional breakdown for each strength is on the How to use page. If you have a specific allergy concern, email us at info@royaltiso.com — we’ll send you the exact spec.

Is Royal Tiso gluten-free and vegan?

Yes to both. Every Royal Tiso sauce is gluten-free, vegan, and free from artificial flavour enhancers. It’s made with whole, natural ingredients — peppers, vinegar, garlic, salt, spices.

How is it made?

We prep, blend, and bottle small batches in Calgary, Alberta. Peppers come from trusted growers; everything is hand-checked before it goes into a jar. No factory shortcuts — the slow way is the only way to keep the flavour honest.

02

Heat & pairings

Which heat level should I start with?

If you’re new to hot sauce, start with Mild Habanero — it’s all the flavour with a gentle warmth that won’t overwhelm a meal.

If you already enjoy hot sauce regularly: Hot is the everyday workhorse. Extra Hot is for chili lovers. Scotch Bonnet is the most assertive — bold, fruity, and yes, fiery.

Most people end up with two: one for daily use, one for the days they want a kick.

How spicy is Scotch Bonnet, really?

Scotch bonnet peppers sit around 100,000–350,000 Scoville heat units — roughly 12 to 40 times hotter than a jalapeño. Our sauce mellows that with vinegar, garlic, and salt, so the heat builds in a way that lingers rather than ambushes you.

If you can handle a serrano or a hot jalapeño, you can handle our Scotch Bonnet. Start with a few drops.

What food does it go best with?

Almost anything savoury. Eggs, rice, noodles, grilled meat, fish, stews, BBQ, plantain chips, samosas, tacos, pizza — we’ve seen it on all of them.

For specific pairings and which strength matches which dish, see How to use.

03

Shipping & storage

How long does shipping take?

Most Canadian orders arrive within 3–7 business days of dispatch. We process orders within 1–2 business days, then hand off to Canada Post or the courier. You’ll get a tracking number by email as soon as it ships.

Do you ship outside Canada?

We currently ship within Canada. For US, EU, or international orders, email info@royaltiso.com — we can quote shipping on a case-by-case basis for bulk or wholesale orders.

How should I store an opened jar?

Once opened, refrigerate it. The vinegar and salt act as natural preservatives, but cold storage keeps the colour bright and the flavour at its best.

Always use a clean spoon (or pour straight from the jar). Avoid double-dipping food into the bottle — that’s the fastest way to shorten shelf life.

How long does it keep?

Unopened: check the best-before date on the label — typically 12–18 months from production, stored in a cool, dark place.

Opened & refrigerated: at peak flavour for about 3 months. Still safe to use for longer, but the brightness fades. If you finish a jar in a month, you’re using it right.

What’s your return policy?

If a jar arrives damaged or you get the wrong item, we’ll replace it or refund you — just email info@royaltiso.com within 14 days with a photo and your order number.

Because it’s food, we can’t accept returns for “I didn’t like the heat level” — but we’ll happily help you pick a better fit for next time.
